Finding Business Resilience – The Mental Health Conversation: An Every-Person Guide to Being a Good Buddy.

The first of four online Business Networking events around the Finding Business Resilience theme in support of Mental Health Month. Each event is designed to support small business owners to manage their mental health environment including staff, colleagues, family and themselves.

A mental health crisis is surging as business owners grapple with uncertainty, lockdowns, financial problems and health issues – particularly their own. Who looks after those whose responsibility is to look after others, either in a business, family, or community sense?

Later this month the Local Area Marketing & Networking Group is launching a Buddy Program where volunteer businesses owners make themselves available as business buddies, mentors or virtual office space hosts to support other business owners.

This keynote will help to prepare all business owners, (including our volunteers) to better understand the mental health spectrum and be able to have those ‘difficult’ conversations, either helping others, or on behalf of themselves.

During this meeting we will also launch a fully subsidised small business owners training program to help businesses and community organisations to become resilient through disasters – bushfires, flood, drought or pandemics.

This Business Continuity & Emergency Response Planning program is open to owners and community organisations in Greater Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

It comprises an eight-week course, is fully accredited and delivered online by some of Australia’s leading experts.
